Time frame: Summer 2017

Inprentus, Inc., is seeking part time, predoctoral interns in the area of high-precision optics. Candidates should be near completion of a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, and have an interest in contact-mode lithography, high-performance optics, control systems, and/or advanced manufacturing. Individuals will be involved in both R&D and commercialization efforts, and will work as part of a friendly and highly motivated technical team developing state-of-the-art processes for manufacturing diffraction gratings for EUV and x-ray applications. Some experience with scanning probe microscopy, thin film growth, or optics instrumentation would be desirable, but is not required.

Inprentus is a mid-stage, tech startup that seeks to become the world leader in large-scale, contact-mode mechanical lithography. Formerly based at the EnterpriseWorks incubator in the University of Illinois Research Park, Inprentus recently moved into a new, 12,000 sqft facility featuring state-of-the-art clean rooms and optics laboratories. Our current current focus is on manufacturing of XUV gratings for applications in EUV lithography, synchrotron radiation, inertial confinement fusion, and x-ray telescopes, among others.

Interested candidates should send inquiries to info@inprentus.com .
