Grad Travel Award Application Deadline for Fall 2017 Travel is Sept. 1

The Physics Grad Travel Award website is now available for Fall 2017 conference travel, i.e., conference travel during Sept. 1, 2017 - January 31, 2018.  The deadline for applications for Fall 2017 conference travel is September 1, 2017.

The purpose of the Illinois Physics Graduate Student Travel Award Fund is to provide opportunities for graduate students to attend special conferences or workshops or to participate in professional development activities that are not funded by their advisers' research grants. Travel Awards are generally limited to a maximum of $600.

A complete application must include:

1. Completed Graduate Travel Award form

2. A brief letter of support from the applicant's thesis adviser, which can be submitted to Associate Head Lance Cooper via e-mail (slcooper@illinois.edu)
