Society for Women in Physics
*note* this page is currently being updated
Welcome to the homepage for the Society for Women In Physics. As in all things it is very
important to network. We believe it is especially important to network
within our field of physics where there are so few women. Women in
Physics was created out of the brown-bag lunches in the hopes to create
something of a group to provide social interaction, academic
support and networking especially among undergraduate students.
Mission:
The mission
of the Society for Women in Physics (SWIP) is to provide a network among the female students
in the physics department. SWIP also seeks to provide opportunities for
its members to interact with all physics students, faculty and the community
in social, academic and philanthropic activities.
