Abstract:

Science Booth at the Urbana Farmers' Market. U of I and other experts will be on hand with demonstrations illustrating the science they represent, and to answer questions from the public about the researchers' discipline.  For example, you will find out how to save billions of gallons of water, and how to dispose of medications without spoiling our drinking water from the ISTC, you may see floating superconductors on the Physics days, solar flares via solar telescopes on the Staerkel Planetarium days, pants that don't stain on nanotechnology days, 3-D printer on the IGL days, and a blue tongued lizard  on GEEB days.
