I described our Admitted Student Day event in a post last week. (That post now includes links to the talks.) It was a great event. We had more than 60 admitted students in attendance. When you count all of the family members, we had over 175 people!
In addition to several guest speakers, our current students and several faculty members joined us for lunch. The prospective students really appreciated a chance to talk with the current students.
It was a really fun day. Prospective students and parents came with lots of really good questions. They've been doing their homework and carefully considering which school is best for them. We congratulate all of these students for their achievements to date, and wish them the best in their future endeavors. We hope to see some of them in our Department next fall, but most of all we hope that they all find the school that is the best for them!!
