National Institutes of Health: National Research Service Awards (F30, F31, F32) Information Session

Graduate students in the life and health-related sciences are invited to an information session on the NIH National Research Service Award (NRSA), a.k.a. the Kirschstein Fellowship (F30, F31, & F32). NRSAs provide up to five years of support for PhD students and six years of support for MD/PhD students. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents who are conducting research on topics relevant to NIH’s institutes or centers.

The workshop, hosted by the Graduate College, will offer an overview of the fellowship program and provide guidance on how to prepare competitive proposals. Speakers include Dr. Jim Slauch, Professor of Microbiology and Director of the Medical Scholars Program; Dr. Lori Raetzman, Associate Professor of Molecular & Integrative Physiology; and Matt Biehl, NRSA recipient and MD/PhD student in Molecular & Integrative Physiology.
