The Biophysics Graduate Research and Networking Symposium organised by the Illinois Biophysics Society and sponsored by The Biophysical Society is on October 23 from 10 AM to 3 PM in 104 Illini Union.

We welcome all graduate students working broadly in the biophysics research area to participate in the poster competition at this symposium. This poster session is a great opportunity to build connections with fellow biophysics graduate students around campus and to think about scientific collaborations. There will be multiple awards including a popular choice award (so remember to bring your lab mates and friends to vote for your poster)! We hope that you will consider presenting your awesome work in form of a research poster.

We are also happy to announce that Prof. Martin Gruebele (Department of Chemistry) and Prof. Paul Selvin (Department of Physics) will be speaking on life in academia outside of research. We believe that both graduate students and postdoctoral researchers will find these talks useful and enriching.

Please sign up here to attend the symposium and present a poster (last date for signing up is October 17) and also consider RSVPing at our Facebook event link. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. We are excited about the upcoming symposium and look forward to your participation. If you have any questions/suggestions/ideas, please feel to get in touch with us.
