Grad Travel Award Deadline for Spring 2018 Conference Travel is Feb. 1, 2018

The Physics Grad Travel Award website is now accepting applications for Spring 2018 conference travel, i.e., conference travel during February 1, 2018 - May 31, 2018.  The deadline for applications for Spring 2018 conference travel is February 1, 2018, and travel applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the first day of conference travel.

The purpose of the Illinois Physics Graduate Student Travel Award Fund is to provide opportunities for graduate students to attend special conferences or workshops or to participate in professional development activities that are not funded by their advisers' research grants. Travel Awards are normally limited to a maximum of $600, but larger awards are possible in special cases and pending the availability of funds.

A complete application must include:

1. Completed Graduate Travel Award form

2. A brief letter of support from the applicant's thesis adviser, which can be submitted to Associate Head Lance Cooper via e-mail (slcooper@illinois.edu)
