To help address the gender imbalance in physics research in Australia, the research centre that I am part of is advertising two 3-year research fellowships that are only open to female applicants. They can be hosted in any part of the Centre’s research program, and are suitable for early career researchers with experience ranging from zero up to about 8-10 years out of their PhD. Candidates with career interruptions due to carer responsibilities are particularly encouraged to apply.

If you know of any potential applicants that would be interested in working at the University of Queensland in Australia on topics in nonequilibrium dynamics and thermodynamics of polariton-exciton and/or quantum gas superfluids, I would greatly appreciate it if you could pass this information along to them, and ask them to get in touch with me to develop an application.

Information about the fellowships can be found here: https://www.fleet.org.au/women-in-fleet-fellowship/

Applications close on 14 January 2019.
