Course: Phys 598 PPC, Particle Physics of the Early Universe

Instructor: Jessie Shelton

Time/Days: 10 - 11:20 am, Mondays and Wednesdays

Description: This course will introduce the particle physics of the early universe. Beginning with standard Big Bang cosmology, we will discuss the thermal history of the early universe, including nucleosynthesis, baryogenesis, cosmological phase transitions, and dark matter candidates. Undergrad prereqs are stat mech (Phys 427) and quantum (Phys 487).
