Data Science Job Opportunities at CVS Health

CVS Health has data science job opportunities for MS and PhD students. Some general information:

• Master’s/PhD level candidates from technical fields with machine learning/statistical modeling experience, and specifically people who can figure stats and business cases out. Obviously I was (and am) no statistician myself, but being able to identify the meat of a problem and figure out how to go about solving it is very important.
• Job locations include Chicago (Northbrook, actually, but I believe the company is considering opening a downtown location in the future), New York, and Boston. Remote may be a possibility (and right now we’re mostly still working from home due to COVID-19), but that would probably be worked out on a candidate-by-candidate basis.
• I can only speak for Northbrook, as NY and Boston are much more expensive cities and I don’t know if salary ranges adjust with location, but just my personal opinion -- the salary is definitely competitive for Chicago, there’s room to grow if people prove themselves, and the company culture is very positive and friendly.

Available roles vary, but I’ve attached an example job description for an open position. I’m sure you know this goes without saying, but because it would not have been obvious to me in applying – job requirements are flexible. For example, the listing I pulled says minimum requirements are a Master’s and two years of industry experience, but we absolutely have open positions for strong candidates with a Master’s and no industry experience.
