In the era of time domain astronomy, repeat photometric observations spanning over a decade are enabling a systematic exploration of quasar variability. Repeat spectroscopy spanning over a decade is revealing intriguing variability in Type I quasars, such as "changing-look quasars" which exhibit large changes in the broad components of Balmer emission lines. I present recent follow-up spectra of changing-look candidates selected based on SDSS and Pan-STARRS variability. Such sources highlight the importance of obtaining large samples of quasars with repeat spectroscopy, one of the goals of the Time Domain Spectroscopic Survey of SDSS-IV and future all-sky spectroscopic surveys.
