Condensed Matter Journal Club - "The Higher-Order Topological Semimetals: Dirac, Weyl and superconductivity"

Speaker Sayed Ali Akbar Ghorashi
Date: 4/13/2021
Time: 4 p.m.
Sponsor: CM Journal Club
Event Type: Seminar/Symposium

In this talk, I will discuss some aspects of higher-order topological semimetals. In particular, starting from a higher-order Dirac semimetal, I will first discuss the effect of superconducting instability [1] and obtain two classes of higher-order topological superconductors. Next, I will show various ways of getting higher-order Weyl semimetals and present some of their interesting properties [2].
