Our group is seeking talented graduate students for experimental research in optomechanics, nonlinear optics, and micro/nanomechanical systems.

The open positions are in the following research topics:

1. Surface acoustic wave manipulation of single-defect quantum optical systems

2. Topological acoustics and electromagnetics with symmetry breaking

Interested students should contact Prof. Bahl (bahl@illinois.edu) with a complete CV, accompanied by a short paragraph highlighting relevant practical experience and coursework. Women and students from minority backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Students with experimental experience in these areas will be strongly preferred, but that is not necessary to apply.

General academic interest in quantum mechanics and device physics is appreciated. Please see our group website (http://bahl.mechse.illinois.edu) for representative work.
