Applications due Nov 15

The American Association of University Women offers American Dissertation Completion Fellowships to support women scholars in any field of study during their final year of dissertation writing. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. The fellowship offers a $20,000 stipend intended to offset a scholar’s educational and living expenses while she completes her dissertation. Applicants must have finished all coursework, completed all preliminary exams, and received approval for their research proposals by the application deadline. The AAUW encourages applications from scholars in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math) and those researching gender issues. Students holding a dissertation completion fellowship in the year prior to the AAUW fellowship year are not eligible. For details, visit the AAUW American listing in the Graduate College's Fellowship Finder database. If you would like the Graduate College Office of External Fellowships to review your AAUW draft, submit it to us by October 15. See details here.
