The Dept. of Physics has summer support for one physics grad student to participate in an internship at Champaign-based Inprentus, Inc.  Candidates should be post-prelim an interested in contact-mode lithography, high-performance optics, control systems, and/or advanced manufacturing. Individuals will be involved in both R&D and commercialization efforts, and will work as part of a friendly and highly motivated technical team developing state-of-the-art processes for manufacturing diffraction gratings for EUV and x-ray applications. Some experience with scanning probe microscopy, thin film growth, or optics instrumentation would be desirable, but is not required.

If you're interested in being considered for this internship opportunity, please contact Lance Cooper for further information.
