Biography

Dr. Kopteva is a theoretical physicist specializing in general relativity. Before coming to Illinois, she conducted research in gravitation and theoretical cosmology in Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Her work includes exact solutions of the Einstein equations, black holes in cosmological media, the interplay between cosmic expansion and local gravity, and black hole perturbations, as well as studies of collective semantic dynamics in populations of language model agents and systematic bias in learning from human feedback.

Research Interests

• General relativity, cosmology, exact solutions of the Einstein equations, inhomogeneous cosmological models, cosmological black holes, nonlinear dynamics.
