Spring 2012 Assistantships, Thesis Deposit and Academic Deadlines

Students with spring semester assistantship appointments (RA, TA, GA, PGA) may be eligible to hold their assistantships through the end of the spring semester if they deposit anytime during the spring semester. For example, a student with a spring appointment processed to end May 15 may hold the assistantship through May 15, even if the student deposits the thesis anytime between now and the May 2012 graduation deposit deadline.

The policy does not obligate the student to continue the assistantship, and permits students to resign their assistantships and retain their assistantship waivers, if they deposit within 7 days of the resignation effective date. Students with questions about the end date of their assistantship appointments should direct questions to the Physics Grad Office (333-3645).

Additional academic deadlines for Spring 2012 can be found here, and questions about academic deadlines can be directed to the Graduate College at 333-0035.
