Career Workshop and Alumni Meeting for Chinese Students

Saturday, April 6, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Roger Adams Laboratory (RAL), 116 (free snacks and soft drinks will be offered)

Alumni will share how they managed their time and built professional skills while they were at U of I. Their life stories and successful career experiences will give the current students valuable information on job searching, career development, and visa issues.

Topics include:

-- How to make your application stand out: the tips to polish your CV

-- Career planning and job searching: how to find a faculty position in US

-- From UIUC students to research park startup researchers

-- Working experiences in large companies

-- Different visa options at work: Temporarily visa and permit & Permanent visa for international employees
