Hi Everybody,

I hope you are having a good summer.

I know that many of you appreciate the "Careers in Physics" seminar series that Lance has organized. In an effort to further connect our students (undergrad and grad) with alumni, we have formed a Physics Illinois Alumni group on LinkedIn.

We hope that the group will provide opportunities for you to get advice from alumni, network and learn about career opportunities in a wide variety of fields. We have lots of alumni doing lots of different things, so this is a great opportunity to take advantage of a significant network of people who appreciate and understand the skills and knowledge you have acquired.

For those of you who don't know, LinkedIn is the professional networking site. Think of it as Facebook for careers. I encourage all of you to create a LinkedIn account (it's free.) You can then add people to your personal network.
