2013 NSF Graduate Fellowship Workshop

Are you planning to apply, or thinking about applying, for a 2014 NSF Graduate Fellowship by the Nov. 5, 2013 deadline?   We will be conducting a "Graduate Fellowship Workshop" from 6 - 8 p.m. on Sept. 23 in Rm. 204 Loomis (Interaction Room). Pizza and drinks will be provided!

Tentatively, this workshop will consist of two parts:

I. Part I of the workshop will consist of an open discussion with a panel of faculty, staff, and students who have experience with NSF and other NSF Graduate Fellowship applications. The panel will include:

  • Current NSF Fellowship holders Rebecca Holmes (3rd Year grad student), Courtney Byard (3rd Year grad student), Nick LaRacuente (1st Year grad student), and Kiel Williams (1st Year grad student)

  • Celia Elliott, proposal writing guru

These panelists will give their insights into what comprises a successful NSF graduate fellowship application, and they will be available to answer your questions about the application process.

II. Part II of the workshop will consist of short presentations by Celia Elliott and Lance Cooper on the key components of the NSF Fellowship application and tips for writing a effective fellowship proposal.
