Affiliate Faculty Member of Physics Position at Grand Valley State

Position: Affiliate Faculty member of Physics, beginning August 2014

Qualifications:
-- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in physics, science education, or a related field (candidates completing their Master’s degree prior to their hiring date will be considered). Applicants must also hold a bachelor’s degree in physics or have an extensive record of teaching college-level physics beyond laboratory courses.

-- Experience teaching introductory physics courses and/or labs;

-- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;

-- Commitment to working with a diverse student population.

Responsibilities:
Teaching and grading introductory physics courses and labs, holding office hours, working effectively with a team of faculty and staff. Affiliate faculty normally teach 16 credit hours per semester.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience
