Summer 2014 Health Insurance Information for Grad Students

If you are registered for at least 3 hours for the summer term, your assistantship will automatically cover your health insurance fee, and you will not need to extend your health insurance coverage.

If you will NOT register for the summer term, you may purchase an extension of your summer health insurance coverage IF you had health insurance coverage in Spring 2014.  The deadline to purchase an extension of summer health insurance coverage is June 16, 2014.

The 2014 summer term is defined as the period between May 19 and August 9.

Summer 2014 coverage dates are as follows:

Student Health Insurance:  May 17, 2014 – August 20, 2014
McKinley Health Center: Spring coverage ends May 31, 2014. Summer coverage ends August 23, 2014.
Dental/Vision Insurance: June 1, 2014 – August 31, 2014
