Important Dates for an August Graduation

Students planning to deposit theses or dissertations for August 2014 graduation are reminded of the following deadlines:

-- July 11:  Last day to add your name to the August degree list

-- July 18:  Last day to complete a doctoral dissertation deposit

-- July 25:  Last day to complete a master’s thesis deposit

Because deposit deadlines are firm, students are strongly encouraged to submit the thesis or dissertation to the Graduate College at least one week before the deadline in order to allow sufficient time to make and re-submit all requested corrections. For August graduation, any corrections requested by the Graduate College and all required deposit materials must be submitted to the Thesis Office no later than 4:45 p.m. on the day of the deposit deadline. Students who plan on having all degree requirements completed and will graduate in August 2014 should add themselves to the August degree conferral list via Student Self-Service. After logging in, click the “Graduation” tab, and then “Apply to Graduate.”  Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the application process.

The last day for students to add themselves or for departments to add students who are unable to add themselves is 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 11. Please contact your department with any questions or if you have problems adding yourself to the list via Student Self-Service.
