Gianturco Family Foundation Scholarship for Postdocs and Students

Thanks to a generous gift from The Gianturco Family Foundation given in memory of Dr. Cesare Gianturco, the Mayo-Illinois Alliance is able to provide scholarships for Illinois postdocs and students to attend the 2014 Individualizing Medicine conference.

Dr. Gianturco came to America from Italy in 1930 to be a Fellow at Mayo Clinic. He eventually co-founded the Carle Hospital Clinic with five other Mayo Fellows and taught at the University of Illinois. According to his family, Dr. Gianturco “would be happy to know that we are supporting your new Mayo Clinic-University of Illinois program.”

The Individualizing Medicine conference is being held at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN on October 6-8. The scholarships will allow the selected individuals to waive the conference registration fees.

To apply, please send the following via email to Maggie Berg Miller at meberg@illinois.edu.

1. Your information. Include your name, email, title, and department.

2. A statement of why you want to attend the conference and what you hope to gain from doing so. Limit of 250 words.
