How to Navigate the Patent and Thesis Review Processes

Where: 1310 Newmark Civil Engineering Laboratory

Representatives from the Office of Technology Management (OTM) and the Graduate College Thesis Office will host a workshop on the technology transfer and thesis/dissertation deposit processes for graduate students in the College of Engineering. This presentation will be an introduction to technology transfer and intellectual property including:

-- Patent and copyright basics

-- How the technology transfer process works

-- Services and resources for student innovators and entrepreneurs

Participants will also learn about the process of submitting and depositing an electronic thesis or dissertation (ETD). Join us regardless of when you plan to deposit—it’s never too early to learn what procedures, deadlines, and policies you should know and what supporting items are required for a successful review and deposit. Stay for pizza after the presentation!
