October Lunch Seminar: Classification of Engineering Education Research

When:  October 29, noon – 1:00 pm

Where: 303 Transportation Building

Dr. Herman and Dr. Mena will lead a discussion on ways that you can contribute to our understanding of how to improve engineering education. Discussion will focus on three levels of engagement that are critical to improving our best practices: scholarship of teaching and learning, research-to-practice, core research. The discussion will include example research questions, techniques, and places for publication.

Speakers: Dr. Geoffrey Herman and Dr. Irene Mena, both are part of the NSF WIDER project, which is investigating best practices for STEM Education reform.
