Female Tech Training Program From JP Morgan
2/27/2015
Tech Connect is a primer leading to our 6-week TAP (Technology Analyst Program) Boot Camp in July and is focused on Java training, career & leadership development for approximately 20 incoming women with Science or Math backgrounds. This program will take place in New Jersey. Once complete, the Tech Connect analysts will continue on to our TAP Boot Camp (either in New Jersey or Ohio) before joining their full-time Teams around the country.
Our goal is to recruit a small number of graduates who love technology - but might not have majored in Computer Science or considered a career in technology - and are excited to learn and develop their coding skills while starting their career here at JPMC. We are especially interested in introducing more women into our J.P. Morgan Chase technology workforce. We recognize that women are underrepresented in tech programs and in Tech Connect we aim to address some issues they may face with a custom designed curriculum focused on diversity and leadership.
The profile of the Tech Connect candidate:
-- Completing their final year of university and studying MIS, sciences and/or math (STEM), interested in becoming more technically astute and motivated to build a career in technology
-- Students sourced nationally across the US
-- Strong academic credentials (GPA of 3.2+ preferred)
-- Strong written/verbal communication skills
-- Structured analytical & problem solving skills
-- Informal exposure or proven curiosity in technology-related topics, programming languages, web design
