Free ESL Courses for International Graduate Students and Postdocs

The ESL program is offering two free seven-week advanced elective courses from March 16-May 6. Register online.
ESL 503: Academic Presentation Skills—Improves skills in creating presentations and presenting research in academic settings, such as for coursework, conferences, and dissertation defenses.
ESL 503: Conversational Skills (Special Section E - TR 5:00-6:20 p.m.)—This course is for advanced speakers of English who want to improve their English speaking skills in an academic setting, such as academic advising sessions, classroom discussions, group work negotiations, making introductions, and making small talk. This course will be offered this semester in order to conduct research on the teaching and learning of English speaking skills in academic settings. All participants must consent to having the classes audio/video recorded.
