Prof. Liang Yang is Looking for Students in Experimental Nuclear/Particle Physics
3/4/2015
Prof. Liang Yang is currently looking for students in experimental nuclear and particle physics. Prof. Yang is a member of the Nuclear Physics Laboratory and his research involves the searches for beyond Standard Model physics using state-of-art ultra-low background detectors. His group plays a leading role in the EXO-200 and nEXO collaborations, which aim perform the most sensitive search for neutrinoless double beta decay using Xe-136. In the past two years, the EXO-200 collaboration has published high impact physics results in Physical Review C and Nature. The student will have the opportunity to participate the phase-II operation of EXO-200, play a lead role in EXO-200 data analysis and develop cutting-edge technology through R&D with nEXO.
