Important Upcoming Dates in Spring 2015

Friday, April 10 is the last day for students to:

-- Take the doctoral final examination for a May 2015 graduation.

Final examination committees must be appointed by the dean of the Graduate College prior to the examination. Doctoral students who will defend during the spring term should contact their departmental or program office as early as possible to initiate the process of requesting appointment of their examination committee.

Minimum committee requirements and additional information regarding doctoral examinations may be found in Chapter VII of the Grad College Handbook.

Thursday, April 16 is the last day to order academic attire for the graduation ceremony in May.

Friday, April 17, 5:00 p.m. is the last day for graduate students to:

-- Drop a semester course without a grade of W and without approval

-- Elect credit/no credit for a semester course or to change from credit/no credit to regular grade

-- Withdraw from the current term without grade of W

Friday, April 17 is the last day for graduate students to add themselves to the May 2014 degree list via Student Self Service. This degree application deadline is firm.  If you are unable to add yourself to the graduation list via Student Self Service, contact your department for assistance prior to April 18.

To register your intent, go to Student Self Service, click on the “Graduation” tab and follow the on-screen instructions.

Please note that if you were on the degree list for a previous term, but did not complete your degree, you will need to add your name to the degree list. Names are not automatically carried over from one term to the next.

Friday, April 24 is the last day to deposit your dissertation with the Graduate College Thesis Office for a May graduation

Thursday, April 30 is the last day to register for the campus wide Commencement ceremony.
