Research Openings in Bioengineering Lab of Prof. Roy Dar

Graduate students with interest in projects spanning basic to translational research of disease in mammalian systems are welcome to contact Prof. Roy Dar (roydar@illinois.edu) to discuss open positions. The Dar lab implements advanced single-cell imaging and experimental design to elucidate the structure-function relationships of important gene circuits and networks. Current interests are in deciphering the regulatory circuitry of HIV-1 latency, cell migration, and integrating genome-wide datasets to explore genomic organizational principles and accelerate drug discovery. The Dar lab is a highly interdisciplinary and dynamic environment and welcomes students of diverse backgrounds and interests. Projects utilize a multi-pronged approach of modeling, computation, and experimentation all within an exciting collaborative environment. Backgrounds in Biology, Physics, Engineering, and Computer Science are welcomed. For more information on the Dar lab, see http://dar.bioengineering.illinois.edu/.
