Join the Data Science Across Disciplines Focal Point Project in their first talk of the new semester with Dr. Matt Turk, a professor in Astronomy and a research scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. Dr. Turk will talk about yt, a python package for analyzing and visualizing volumetric, multi-resolution data from astrophysical simulations, radio telescopes, and a burgeoning interdisciplinary community. Refreshments will be served after his talk.
