Important Upcoming Dates in Spring 2016

Friday, April 1 is the last day for students to add their names to the May degree list via self-service.If you are unable to add yourself to the graduation list via Student Self Service, contact your department for assistance.

To register your intent, go to Student Self Service, click on the “Graduation” tab and follow the on-screen instructions.

Please note that if you were on the degree list for a previous term, but did not complete your degree, you will need to add your name to the degree list. Names are not automatically carried over from one term to the next.

Friday, April 8 is the last day for students to:

-- Take the doctoral final examination for a May 2016 graduation.

Final examination committees must be appointed by the dean of the Graduate College prior to the examination. Doctoral students who will defend during the spring term should contact their departmental or program office as early as possible to initiate the process of requesting appointment of their examination committee.

Minimum committee requirements and additional information regarding doctoral examinations may be found in can be found in Chapter 6 of the Graduate College Handbook.

Friday, April 15, 5:00 p.m. is the last day for graduate students to:

-- Drop a semester course without a grade of W and without approval

-- Elect credit/no credit for a semester course or to change from credit/no credit to regular grade

-- Withdraw from the current term without grade of W

Friday, April 22 is the last day to deposit your dissertation with the Graduate College Thesis Office for a May graduation.
