Important Upcoming Dates if You're Planning to Go Through May 2016 Commencement

If you're planning to go through the May 2016 Commencement ceremonies, you must be on the May 2016 degree list.  The following dates are relevant to you:

Students planning to deposit theses or dissertations for May 2016 graduation are reminded of the following deadlines:

• April 22: Last day to complete a doctoral dissertation deposit

Because deposit deadlines are firm, students are strongly encouraged to submit the thesis or dissertation to the Graduate College at least one week before the deadline in order to allow sufficient time to make and re-submit all requested corrections. For May graduation, any corrections requested by the Graduate College and all required deposit materials must be submitted to the Thesis Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the deposit deadline.

In order to participate in the campuswide Commencement ceremony, keep in mind the following deadlines:

1. Order academic attire (a mortarboard, tassel, gown, and hood) by April 14 at 10 p.m.

2. Complete your dissertation deposit with the Graduate College Thesis Office by April 22.

3. Register for campuswide Commencement ceremonies by April 30.

4.Obtain guest tickets from the Graduate College following deposit and registration.
