Submissions Now Accepted for Image of Research

Deadline: January 15, 2017

The Image of Research, a competition celebrating the diversity and breadth of graduate student research at Illinois is now open. Graduate and professional students may submit an image and brief text that articulates how the image relates to the research. Entries will be judged for connection between image, text, and research; originality; and visual impact. 

A subset of submissions will be selected by judges as the semi-finalists. Awards will be presented at a reception on April 5, 2017 in conjunction with the Annual Graduate Student Appreciation Week. Semi-finalists will also compete for a People’s Choice award ($100) which will be voted on by attendees of the reception. 

First prize: $500

Second prize: $300

Third prize: $200

Honorable mention: $100

People’s Choice Award: $100
