2/26/2017 9:43:40 AM
Thursday, March 2, 10 - 11 a.m., Illini Union Bookstore Building, room 504
Curious about teaching-focused careers in academia? Want to know more about life as a lecturer or instructional assistant professor? Join us for a conversation with Jerrod A. Henderson, Instructional Assistant Professor of Engineering at the University of Houston. Henderson earned a PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Illinois and served for six years as a teaching faculty member here. While in Champaign-Urbana, Henderson co-founded the St. Elmo Brady STEM Academy as part of his commitment to increasing the number of underrepresented students interested in pursuing STEM careers. At Houston, he teaches a range of courses and is involved in the First Year Engineering Experience. At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and get advice for advanced degree candidates interested in the field. This event is sponsored by the Graduate College Career Development Office.
