This is a message to everyone who works in a campus laboratory performing research or clinical work. I want to make you aware of two new resources that provide guidance for conducting on-campus essential work, including laboratory and research-related activities.

The first is an online training designed for anyone who needs to come to campus at this time to perform work considered essential. It is not specific to laboratory work. We recommend this as an awareness training for all staff that do or may need to work on campus. You can access the training here: https://ovcrportal.research.illinois.edu/Training/Overview.aspx?TrainingId=295

The second is a guidance document for conducting essential research in a laboratory or related facility. It outlines the major operational modifications that should be considered when planning how to conduct the work. The guidance document is available here: https://www.drs.illinois.edu/site-documents/SafeConductofEssentialResearchActivities.pdf

If you have questions or suggestions for either resource, please do not hesitate to contact me.
