Physics Qualifying Exam Postponed Until Spring 2021

Dear Physics Graduate Students: Because of the ongoing pandemic -- and the anticipated difficulties associated with safely offering an in-person examination in August 2020 -- we have decided to postpone the next physics qualifying exam until Spring 2021, probably on January 19 and 20, 2021.

We know that many of you were looking forward to getting the qual out of the way in August so that you can focus on research...we're looking forward to this as well. However, we want to make sure that we can hold the exam safely for all of you. We encourage you to make use of this postponement by keeping your qual study groups going so you can all pass the exam in January 2021. Please contact Lance Cooper if you have any questions about this.
