Optical Engineer Position at Applied Physics Lab
6/22/2020 4:29:46 PM
The Applied Physics Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University has a hands-on optical systems engineering position. An experimental AMO physics background is great training for this work, as this position will have to work with cryogens, vacuum, and optical experiments. A background with design, implementation, and analysis of optical systems is a must. We’re primarily looking at Masters or Ph.D. level candidates.
APL is a great place to work. The pay and benefits are good, and the work is stable. We have over 7000 people now, and the resources and support are first class. We are located in Laurel, MD, but it’s very close to Columbia, MD.
To apply, go to https://www.jhuapl.edu/Careers/ and search for requisition # 23415.
If people have questions, feel free to email me, but I may not have much time to provide information (which is why we’re hiring!). I encourage people to apply soon, as we’re already looking at resumes.
Sincerely,
Matthew Matthew Beeler, Ph.D.
