APS Virtual Workshop on Strategic Negotiation

APS is pleased to announce Advancing Graduate Leadership (AGL), a partnership with the Heising-Simons Foundation to provide professional activities for women and gender minority graduate students and postdocs.
As part of AGL, a series of eight virtual professional development workshops will be held over the course of the next several months. The first in the series, “Strategic Negotiation Skills for Women,” will be held on December 9 at 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET
Kristen BursonKristen Burson, assistant professor at Hamilton College, will be leading the first workshop where participants will engage with case studies to practice strategic negotiation skills. This will include how to:
- Negotiate a job offer
- Interact positively on teams with a mentor or advisor
- Think tactically
- Develop alliances
- Achieve professional goals
