Time to Register for the August 2025 Physics Qualifying Exam

The August 2025 Physics Qualifying Exam will be held on:

Dates: Saturday, August 23 AND Sunday, August 24, 2025

Time: 12:30 - 5:00 pm (be there by 12:30 pm, exam starts promptly at 1:00 pm!)

Locations: Loomis Laboratory, 204/222/276 Loomis.

Illinois Physics graduate students who need to take the qualifying exam this year and incoming Illinois Physics graduate students who plan to take the qual as a free shot must register for the examination via the following link: https://my.physics.illinois.edu/grad/qual-signup (please choose Fall 2025 in the "Select a Term" drop-down menu when you register!). Only eligible Illinois Physics graduate students are permitted to take the Illinois Physics qualifying examination.
