We would like to inform you of the 3rd Minnesota condensed matter summer school, "Dynamics and quantum information in many-body systems”, sponsored by the William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute (FTPI) and the Simons Foundation at the University of Minnesota. The school is aimed at research-active graduate students and postdocs and will be held in Minneapolis from June 12 - 21, 2023. Participants will be provided with lodging and some additional local expenses. There is no registration fee to attend.
The goal of this school is to expose students to a range of topics at this interface between quantum computation and many-body quantum dynamics of both closed and open quantum systems. Topics will include the dynamics of open and closed quantum systems, quantum circuits and algorithms, quantum entanglement, and current experiments on quantum simulators. A detailed description of the program is available at the school website, https://cse.umn.edu/ftpi/cmss2023.
The application deadline is March 24, 2023, so please encourage your students and postdocs to apply. All students are strongly urged to plan on staying for the duration of the school. Partial attendance is strongly discouraged. Please contact us with any questions by email at FTPI (at) umn.edu.
