Undergrad Callie Demay in Fermilab - Result of the Week

11/13/2008

Physics undergraduate Callie Demay has been cited for her work with the CDF group at Fermilab.  She and high-school student Jamie Ray completed most of the work for a previously uninvestigated channel of Higgs production, searching for the Higgs by examining pairs of photons. Demay optimized the analysis, and Ray assisted with the calculation of efficiencies and helped finalyze the results.  Craig Group and Ray Culbertson, both of Fermilab, directed the analysis.  Their work was featured as the "Fermilab Result of the Week" on November 13, 2008. Demay is a senior in the teaching of physics.  Photo courtesy Fermilab Visual Services.
